When will my translation be ready?

I usually translate between 2,000 and 3,000 words a day. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that if you send me a 3,000-word text at 9:00 am you'll get the translation by 5:00 pm: I may already be working on something else. More complex texts may take longer; for urgent jobs I'm happy to work overtime or on weekends, but I would expect to be paid accordingly.

Do you translate into Russian?

No, but I can refer you to someone who does if you want.

Do you work with translation agencies?

Certainly. If you're from an agency, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

What software do you use?

MS Office 2013 and Déjà Vu X3, a computer-assisted translation tool that helps me to ensure consistent terminology and to work faster. I'm also an experienced user of SDL Trados, another CAT tool, which I'm happy to use if clients prefer.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay me by bank transfer or PayPal.

Is there anything that you won't translate?

Translators work in every field you can think of. Many of these require knowledge of specialised vocabulary, procedures, processes, technology, and so on. I will not compromise on quality, so if I feel that I am not suitable for a job, I will decline it.
