A qualified professional
As you might expect given my in-house experience, I am fully qualified as a translator. From 1994 to 1998, I did a BA in History and Russian at the University of Sheffield, including a year abroad in Saint Petersburg and Voronezh (18 weeks each). From 2003 to 2004, I did an MA in Applied Translation Studies at the University of Leeds. Generally, I do not provide references, unless you want to hire me for an in-house position, but I did have to name two referees to join the Chartered Institute of Linguists. I'm also on LinkedIn.
