A qualified professional

As you might expect given my in-house experience, I am fully qualified as a translator. From 1994 to 1998, I did a BA in History and Russian at the University of Sheffield, which included a year abroad in Saint Petersburg and Voronezh (18 weeks each). From 2003 to 2004, I did an MA in Applied Translation Studies at the University of Leeds. Generally, I do not provide references, unless you want to hire me for an in-house position, but I did have to name two referees to join the Chartered Institute of Linguists. My entry in their online directory is here, and you can see their membership criteria here. In addition, I'm on Proz.com, a major online translators' community, here, and on LinkedIn here.
